  • MARS "Combo" Modules: Flexible Scalability
    Marathon Key MARS Combo Module

At Millennium Systems International, our unique modular approach to Aviation Fueling Systems design and fabrication gives you the flexibility you need today as well as the scalability you need tomorrow! For example, our PFT (Pump & Filtration) Module combined with our DTP (Direct-to- Plane) Module becomes a PFT/DTP "Combo" that enables transport offloading, product recirculation and direct-to-plane refueling. The ability to combine modules for added functionality gives you maximum flexibility in designing your fuel farm.
Need to bottom load refueler trucks 18 months from now? No problem, just add a TLO (Truck Loading) Module and you are up and running. The ability to add additional modules to meet new or future requirements without discarding your existing investment provides you with maximum scalability.

Flexibility + Scalability = Smart Capital Investment.

Pantograph Fueling Systems:The Ultimate Choice for "Hot Refueling"
    Pantograph

When you've got to hot refuel a fully weaponized F- 16 jet fighter with its engine lit and running, you realize using a rubber hose for the job is like taking a knife to a gunfight. The only safe solution for such mission-critical military refueling applications is a stainless steel pantograph. MSI is proud to provide Cla-Val pantographs for a wide range of military and commercial applications including hot refueling of fixed and rotary wing aircraft, high wing fuel servicing and refueler truck bottom loading.
Recent MSI Pantograph fueling system installations include Prince Sultan A.B. in Saudi Arabia, MacDill A.F.B. in Florida, Ft. Carson, CO and Al Udeid AB, Qatar.

Technical Tip: Service Life for Monitor/Water Absorbing Cartridges
    Filter Cartridges

In May of 2003, the Institute of Petroleum issued a warning stating that degradation of water removal performance of 2" water-absorbing monitor cartridges is a problem with all major filter/monitor manufacturers (Facet, Faudi, Racor and Velcon)*. Although the cause of this problem has not yet been definitively identified, many industry sources feel that new fuel additives may be to blame.
How can you insure that your filter/monitor is operating properly? Here is what the Institute of Petroleum and major filter/monitor manufacturers recommend:

    1. Don't consider filter/monitors to be fail/safe.
    2. Appropriate aviation fuel quality and handling procedures for the detection and removal of water should be diligently applied at all locations in the fuel storage and distribution system.
    3. Monitor differential pressure daily.
    4. Replace all monitor cartridges when differential pressure exceeds 15 psid (particularly if the fuel contains anti-icing additive). Some cartridges may be rated for up to 25 psid; check with your filter supplier to confirm.
    5. Replace all monitor cartridges annually regardless of differential pressure.

Millennium Systems International offers replacement cartridges for both Facet and Velcon Filter/Monitors.

*Note: The API/IP study found that the problem of water removal performance did not occur at every airport.
