MSI has recently completed the start-up and commissioning of a new 20,000 USG Jet Fuel farm for Avant Air at St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida Airport. In addition to the U.L. 2085 FireGuard Tank, the system features a new MARS PFT/TLO Module. The PFT(Pump & Filtration)/TLO (Truck Loading Module) is designed to offload transports, bottom load refueler trucks and recirculate stored fuel through filtration at flowrates up to 200 USGPM. MSI's Intrinsically Safe Deadman Controller, 100 USG Relaxation Tank and all stainless piping are just a few of the safety features found on this system.

When the USMC needed to find a way to quickly and safely refuel its C-130 transports in Iraq, they came to MSI for a total system solution. Designed for flowrates of 300 USGPM, MSI's Expeditionary Pantograph Fueling Systems are designed in a "kit" to speed field installation and incorporate a unique towbar design to facilitate swift relocation of the pantograph should mission requirements change. Velcon has joined Facet in advising its customers to discontinue the use of its filter/monitors with Jet fuel which has been pre-mixed with FSII (Fuel System Icing Inhibitor). It has been determined that FSII adversely affects water removal properties of filter monitors and it has been implicated in the migration of media outside the filter housing and onto the aircraft.
