Baltimore,
Maryland - Millennium Systems International, LLC was selected to provide
a design-build aviation refueling solution for the U.S. Navy's
X-Craft vessel. The U.S. Navy recently began production of a prototype
X-Craft vessel. This high-speed aluminum catamaran will reach
speeds in excess of 50 knots and will have a deck with two helicopter
landing spots capable of handling a variety of aircraft.
Millennium
Systems International, LLC is providing a customized solution that
includes a Duplex Pump & Filtration Module designed to transfer
JP-5 Jet Fuel from Bulk Storage into an Operating Tank at a design
flowrate of 50 USGPM. The Duplex Pump & Filtration Module
is also designed to transfer fuel from the Operating Tank to a
Remote Dispensing Module on the deck of the vessel. A PLC-based
Control Panel in an explosion-proof enclosure supervises all system
operations with local and remote alarm annunciation and communications
with the ship's control systems.
